Affordable holiday lets in Gozo!
We provide holiday accommodation in the sunny island of Gozo, Malta. Gozo is an island in the Mediterranean sea, located south of Italy. It is a very peaceful island with crystal clear blue sea and a warm climate, where the sun is shining for most of the year. Our holiday apartments are overlooking the sea within a minute walk from a rocky beach. We have a choice of fully equipped apartments sleeping 2, 4 or 6 people, with kitchen, open air balcony with sea view, bathroom with bath, tv, and internet connection. We have also available luxury villas and houses with swimming pool in the countryside.
Prices for the summer months start from Euro 30 per night for 2 persons, Euro 40 for 4 persons and Euro 50 for a group of 6 persons.

Climate
The weather in Gozo is typical of the Mediterranean and strongly influenced by the sea. The Maltese Islands have a sunny climate with a daily average of 12 hours of sunshine in summer and 5-6 hours in mid-winter. In July and August you will only need very light, cool clothes while winter may require a bit more warmth and a windproof jacket.
Currency & Banks
The Maltese currency is the euro.
Banks in Gozo are normally open until early afternoon from Monday to Friday, and until midday on Saturday. Some banks/branches work longer hours. Summer and winter opening hours may differ. There are a number of ATM machines from which you can withdraw money at any time. It is also possible to exchange foreign currency notes in banks, exchange bureaux and 24-hour exchange machines. International bankcards are accepted.
Driving
In Malta and Gozo, driving is on the left. The speed limit varies between 35km/h and 60km/h depending on whether you are in a built-up area or open countryside. It is worth paying attention to the relevant road signs.
Electricity
Electricity is 220-240 volts and the frequency of the supply is 50 hertz. The sockets and plugs are the three rectangular pin plugs (as in the UK). Converters and adapters are easy to find.

Health
The Gozo General Hospital offers an excellent quality of medical care. However we suggest that before travelling to the Maltese Islands, all necessary measures are taken to ensure that you, and anyone else travelling with you, are up-to-date on all routine and recommended immunisations according to schedules defined in your country of residence. We also recommend that you consult with your doctor for specific information related to your needs and your medical history. Visitors receiving special medical treatment should bring a medical prescription or a letter of introduction from their family doctor, in case they need to purchase particular medicines.
Visitors from EU member states should make sure that they have a European Health Insurance card. It is advisable that all visitors, irrespective of their nationality, take out a personal medical insurance policy.

Language
The official languages of Malta are Maltese and English. Maltese, which is the national language, is a Semetic language written in Latin script. Over the years, many foreign words, particularly from English, Italian and French, have become part of the language.

There are public payphones, taking phone cards, all over the island. The cards are available from Go mobile branches, post offices, banks and numerous retail outlets displaying the Telecard sign. G-Cards, Go mobile and Easyline are also available.
